Cavalier FC and Mount Pleasant FA are set to face off in the 2024/25 Jamaica Premier League final at the National Stadium on Friday, May 23rd.

Cavalier FC advanced with a gritty 1-0 win in the second leg of their semi-final against Arnett Gardens FC, thanks to a decisive close-range strike from Jalmaro Calvin. The win gave them a 2-1 aggregate triumph and set up a much-anticipated rematch against Mount Pleasant.

Mount Pleasant secured their spot after a 2-1 aggregate victory over Montego Bay United. Franco Celestin was the standout performer in the semi-final second leg, dazzling fans with skill before scoring to extend their aggregate lead. Despite a second-half response from Montego Bay’s Brian Brown, it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit.

Tivoli Gardens came from behind to secure a crucial 2-1 victory over Montego Bay United, booking their place in the 2024/25 Jamaica Premier League play-offs.

Montego Bay United struck early through Johann Weatherly, who found the net in the 10th minute as his side looked to cement an automatic semi-final berth. However, their hopes were dashed as Tivoli Gardens mounted an impressive comeback.

Nickalia Fuller leveled the score in the 36th minute, confidently converting from the penalty spot. Just four minutes later, Lennox Russell completed the turnaround, tapping in from close range to give Tivoli a 2-1 lead heading into halftime.

The second half was a gritty affair, with Tivoli showing resilience and determination. Despite going down to ten men, they held their ground and preserved their lead, sealing a hard-fought win and a spot in the play-offs.
