
Cavalier FC and Mount Pleasant FA are set to face off in the 2024/25 Jamaica Premier League final at the National Stadium on Friday, May 23rd.
Cavalier FC advanced with a gritty 1-0 win in the second leg of their semi-final against Arnett Gardens FC, thanks to a decisive close-range strike from Jalmaro Calvin. The win gave them a 2-1 aggregate triumph and set up a much-anticipated rematch against Mount Pleasant.
Mount Pleasant secured their spot after a 2-1 aggregate victory over Montego Bay United. Franco Celestin was the standout performer in the semi-final second leg, dazzling fans with skill before scoring to extend their aggregate lead. Despite a second-half response from Montego Bay’s Brian Brown, it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit.
