Kingston, Jamaica — The Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) is proud to announce CVM TV as the exclusive broadcast partner for the 2025 Schoolboy Football Season. This landmark partnership was unveiled at a press conference held at the Summit, promising an electrifying season of Jamaican schoolboy football with unmatched coverage and fan engagement.
CVM TV will deliver live match broadcasts, expert commentary, and in-depth storytelling, bringing fans closer to the action and the athletes who define it.
“This partnership marks a new era for schoolboy football,” said ISSA President Keith Wellington. “CVM TV’s commitment to quality sports broadcasting will elevate the experience for players, schools, and fans islandwide.”
The season kicks off on September 6, when defending Manning Cup champion Kingston College hosts Charlie Smith High, and the DaCosta Cup champions Garvey Maceo High will do battle against Foga Road High.
Tournament Formats Revamped for 2025
Manning Cup
- Preliminary Round: 16 teams qualify (Top 3 from each zone + best 4th place)
- Group Stage: 4 groups of 4; top 2 advance
- Knockout Progression: Round of 16 → Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Final
(Each round maintains the group format for consistency and fairness)
DaCosta Cup
- Zone Play:
- Zones with ≤6 teams: Home & away
- Zones with ≥7 teams: Single round robin
- Advancement: Top teams + best-ranked 3rd place finishers
- Knockout Progression: Round of 32 → Round of 16 → Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Final
